During December i visited Antwerp, Belgium. It was Christmas eve and i could see lots of celebration over the streets. It was rainy and moist day but a wonderful one, one thing that i couldn't ignore was the fragnance of gluwein(Hot red wine) and crepes being prepared in the stalls. Am not a great fan of alcohol, but when its gluwein with a slice of lemon in it i just cannot ignore it. The day i tasted crepes, since then i have been preparing crepes at home with nutella inside.
You can have sweet or savory crepes depending upon your taste. I mostly prepare the sweet one because of my two sweet tooth :-)
Yields: 8 crepes
Preparation- 5 minutes
Cooking time - 8 to 10 minutes for all
Level of difficulty- easy
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour- 100g
- Milk- 200 ml
- Salt a pinch
- Vanilla essence- 1/2 tsp
- Oil- 2 Tbsp
- Egg- 1
- Nutella
- Banana
Preparation:
- Whisk together flour and milk . Whisk the egg separetely and then add to the flour mixutre . whisk again to get a consistent batter. Add the vanilla essence, mix well. Keep in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
- Heat a pan and grease it with butter. Add 2 Tbsp of the prepared batter, spread evenly all over the pan. Wait until the top layers looks dried. Flip onto the other side and cook until little brown spots hits the side. Take out.
- Spread the nutella all over then place the sliced banana , fold and serve. If you want some other filling you can for sure add any of your choice like jam or cheese.
* If you want the vegetarian version of these do not add the egg and vanilla essence. That's it.
Enjoy!!!
Happy Cooking :-)

Unlike you, I enjoy a burst of alcohol during the weekends. That referred to a glass of wine, my way of winding down after a hectic week.
