Ingredients:
- Paneer/Cottage cheese- 200g(cut into cubes)
- Onion-1, sliced
- Red onion-1, cubed
- Garlic- 2 cloves, chopped
- Ginger- minced , 1 Tbsp
- Green Bell pepper- 1, cubed
- Tomato- 2, pureed
- Green chillies- as per taste
- salt as per taste
- Oil for cooking
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
- Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 Tsp
- Pepper powder- 1 Tsp
- Fenugreek leaves- 1 Tbsp, crushed
Spices to be roasted and then grinded
- Cumin seeds - 2 Tbsp
- Coriander seed - 1 Tbsp
- Pepper cons- 4 to 5
- Red chillies - 2 to 3
Preparation:
- Dry roast the whole spices and grind them either in mortar with pestle or in a mixer grinder.
- Heat 2 Tbsp of oil in a pan. Add some cumin seed and let it crackle. Once it starts crackling add the green chillies and onion. Fry until onion turns translucent.
- Add the garlic and fry until it turns tender.
- Now add the fresh tomato puree along with the grinded spices. Add the red chilli powder and pepper powder along with minced ginger. Fry until oil oozes out.
- Now add the chopped bell pepper and cubed red onions. Season with salt. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add the cubed paneer and add less than 50 ml of water. Check for salt and adjust the salt.
- Lastly add the garam masala powder and fenugreek leaves.
- Fry for a minute and then turn off the heat.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Chapati, nan, parotha, puri and rice .
