Gajar Ka Halwa(Carrot sweet delight) - Mothers Day special

Happy Mothers Day to everyone. This is my mother and mother-in-laws favorite sweet dish. I dedicate this recipe to both my mother. Its a very famous sweet dish of India. Enjoy .



Serves- 4 people
Preparation time- 10 minutes
Cooking time- 20 minutes
Total time- 30 minutes
Level of difficulty- medium

Ingredients:

  • Carrot- 500 g
  • Milk- 150 ml
  • Butter- 2 Tbsp
  • Khoya or Khoa - 400 g( Dried milk)
  • Sugar- as per taste
  • Cardamom
  • Dry fruits of your choice 
Preparation:
  • Grate the carrot.
  • Boil the carrot in a pressure cooker by adding milk and 2 Tbsp of water in low heat until twice the pressure is released.
  • In a pan heat butter and fry the carrot until the water is reduced to 70%.
  • Add sugar, dry fruits and khoa . Stir well and remove from heat.
Serve and enjoy !!!!

    Btw, this is one of my fav desserts and a spoonful will satisfy my sugar rush.
